Hannah Russell
ASSOCIATE
Hannah concentrates her practice on a range of litigation matters, including defense of Class 1 railroads, corporate clients, small businesses, municipalities, police departments, and police officers in state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Mohan Groble Scolaro, Hannah worked as an Associate Attorney at a nationally recognized white-collar criminal defense firm, where she defended clients in complex federal criminal matters involving allegations such as public corruption and conspiracy. Her practice also included drafting and writing appellate briefs, with her most recent work argued before the Illinois Second District Appellate Court. Driven by a commitment to justice and integrity, Hannah brings analytical rigor, clear communication, and a results-oriented approach to every case she handles.
Hannah earned her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she received awards for excellence in trial advocacy and professional responsibility. While in school, she served as the Executive Research Editor for the Journal of Environmental and Energy Law. Prior to law school, Hannah worked as a legal assistant while attending Louisiana State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Rhetoric.
In addition to her legal practice, Hannah is a published author. Her work, featured in the Illinois Defense Counsel Journal, explores developments in corporate personal jurisdiction following recent Supreme Court rulings.
