MGS Welcomes Two New Associates

MGS is happy to welcome Jack Ruggiero and Bridget Krysztopa to our team!

Jack

Jack Ruggiero brings nearly a decade of trial experience gained on behalf of the people of the United States and the State of Illinois.

Prior to joining MGS, Jack worked as a trial attorney for both the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Department of Homeland Security. Jack represented the people of Cook County in multiple felony jury trials, including first degree murder and attempted murder cases. Jack also served as lead trial counsel for the Department of Homeland Security in Federal Immigration Court by litigating hundreds of immigration cases on a wide variety of topics including asylum, cancellation of removal, and adjustment of status.

At MGS, Jack will concentrate his practice on a range of litigation matters, including defense of Class 1 railroads, corporate clients, small businesses, municipalities, police departments, and police officers in state and federal courts.

Bridget

Bridget will represent MGS clients in civil, commercial, FELA and personal injury defense matters throughout Illinois and Wisconsin.

Prior to joining MGS, Bridget served as an Associate Attorney at a national defense firm, where she represented corporations in workers' compensation claims before the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission (IWCC). Her practice included arguing motions before IWCC Arbitrators, defending clients at hearings and trials, conducting depositions, negotiating settlements, and advising on Medicare considerations and litigation strategy. This experience in defense litigation provides her with strong trial advocacy skills and strategic thinking that she brings to her current practice.
